Miami: An Amazon cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport on Sunday, September 6, leaving at least five people dead and several others injured, according to local authorities.
The aircraft, operating as Amazon Prime Air Flight 7598, was travelling from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Miami when it reportedly went off the runway during landing. The plane then struck vehicles on a nearby road before catching fire.
The aircraft was a Boeing 767-300 cargo plane operated for Amazon by 21 Air, a North Carolina-based cargo carrier. The plane was carrying cargo when the accident occurred.
More than 200 emergency personnel responded to the scene. Firefighters worked to control the flames and deal with fuel leaking from the damaged aircraft. Several people in vehicles near the runway were also affected by the crash, with injured victims taken to nearby hospitals.
The exact cause of the crash remains unknown. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have launched an investigation into the incident.

The crash also caused significant disruption at Miami International Airport, with flights delayed or cancelled and some aircraft diverted to other airports while emergency operations were underway.
